Soichiro Honda

Soichiro was turned down by Toyota motor corporation during a job interview for the post of engineer after second world war.

He continued to be jobless until his neighbors started buying his homemade scooters. Subsequently, he set out on his own to start his own company Honda, the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer.

Soichiro Honda (本田 宗一郎, November 17, 1906 – August 5, 1991) is Japanese entrepreneur and inventor, engaged in the development and industrial production of mopeds, motorcycles and cars.

 

He is the founder of the Honda Motor Co., Inc. corporation and automobile companies in the U.S. and Japan.
